The Zebra who spoke of vicious lions

Grandfather Samhan
was telling his granddaughters and sons a story.
He was tired,
But he must tell them a story.

Where shall he begin?
Where he can usher a protection umbrella
against this nasty world where criminals roam at large.

So he said:
Imagine my little kids,

ONCE UPON A TIME

A Zebra
who run and run,
Running to save his life,
While lions were after him and his flesh.
His real kicks were nothing but a last resort,
And the lions were hungry.
The lions could not nail him but devoured one of his posterity.
They slashed his body and left the rest to the Hyenas and vultures.

Still,
Under that mellow tree,
That same Zebra,
Kicked...
And gnawed and said in his heart:

There will be another encounter.
